Steve Price is a Florida native whose practice includes all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, civil litigation, and adoption. Steve’s family moved to Orlando in 1923 and he grew up in the family citrus business, which kindled his interest in real estate law. He earned a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Florida and, prior to law school, worked with farmers throughout Florida, Georgia, and the Midwest in agricultural lending and real estate. Steve is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is a former Mortgage Broker. After four years in agricultural real estate, Steve attended the Stetson University College of Law, was published twice as a member of the Stetson Law Review, and graduated in 1992.

Steve works closely with family-operated businesses and understands their need for rapid response and aggressive representation, as well as diligence and creative solutions in day-to-day matters. He provides guidance in all areas of real estate law, from purchase-and-sale to litigation. Steve also handles other civil litigation matters.

As an adopting parent, Steve became interested in adoption law and it quickly became a significant part of his practice. He is a Board Certified Adoption Attorney representing adoption agencies, adoptive parents, and birth parents; litigating contested adoptions and appeals; and representing clients in DCF interventions under Florida’s dependency statute. Steve is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in Family Law.

Steve is on the Board of Directors for the Florida Adoption Council (FAC), where he was President for five years and now serves as Treasurer. He is also on the Florida Bar’s Adoption Law Certification Committee overseeing the applications, testing, and grading procedures for applicants seeking board certification in adoption law. Steve is the author/editor of the Adoption chapter of the 2022 and 2024 editions of Adoption, Paternity, and Other Florida Family Law Practice, published by the Florida Bar CLE, and previously authored/edited the 2019 edition of the Rights, Disabilities and Property of Minors chapter of Adoption, Paternity, and Other Florida Family Law Practice.

Steve has been married for more than thirty years and has three grown sons and three granddaughters. He is active in his church and enjoys hunting, water sports, and other outdoor activities.
