Chad A. Shimel joined the firm as an associate in 2006 and has been a partner since 2013. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Economics, and received his juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.
His primary focus is on real estate, estate planning, and probate, trust, and guardianship administration. Mr. Shimel handles both residential and commercial real estate transactions from the time of contract through closing, and guides his clients through each step of the complex process. Mr. Shimel also assists his clients with various estate planning matters, including formation of wills, trusts, and other supporting estate planning documents. Finally, he has a vast understanding of the probate and guardianship administration process through the court system, and assists clients with these emotionally difficult proceedings.
Mr. Shimel is married and has five children. He is an active member of St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.
