Chad A. Shimel joined the firm as an associate in 2006. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Economics, and received his juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Shimel is now a partner at the firm and works with clients in a variety of fields.
His primary focus is on real estate, probate administration, guardianship administration, and general litigation matters. Mr. Shimel handles both residential and commercial real estate transactions from the time of contract through closing, and guides his clients through each step of the complex process. He also has a vast understanding of the probate and guardianship administration process through the court system, and assists clients with these emotionally difficult proceedings. Finally, Mr. Shimel has developed his litigation practice to include cases ranging from small claims and landlord tenant disputes to complex insurance claims matters.
Mr. Shimel is married and has five children. He is an active member of St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors. In addition, he volunteers in the community by providing legal counsel through the Orange County Bar, and serves as both a Little League and soccer coach for his children's sports teams.
